Assessment Information
I know I need help, but I'm not sure I need to be in the
hospital.
Where do I start? What are my choices?
Not everyone needs to be in the hospital. Ridgeview offers a variety of treatment
options, including inpatient and outpatient programs. Our counselors will help you sort
out the problems you're having and find the help you need. If treatment is
advised, they can assist you with admission to a Ridgeview program or
recommend other treatment
options in the community.
The first step in determining whether you need treatment is to
meet with an Access Center counselor for an assessment. The counselor will discuss the
problems you're having at this time and ask you questions related to the nature
of your problems. The purpose of the assessment is to evaluate your physical,
psychological and emotional health, and provide you with options.
Ridgeview's Access Center provides free assessment and referral
services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may schedule an appointment for an
assessment or we can see you on an emergency walk-in basis.
Your assessment will take approximately 60-90 minutes. Although
we make every attempt to honor appointment times, there are occasions when we must
prioritize emergencies. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
