Services
Thomas Bradford
"Brad" Johns, M.D. is a graduate
Tulane University, Harvard University and Case Western Reserve University
School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry training at Emory University
where he served as Chief Resident and continues to serve as Assistant
Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. Dr. Johns is certified as a Diplomate of
the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the
American College of Psychiatrists, the American Psychiatric Association and
the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association. Dr. Johns is a partner at
North Atlanta Psychiatric Association and former Medical Director at Anchor
Hospital, in addition to holding staff psychiatrist positions at other local
facilities. He maintains an outpatient practice on the Ridgeview campus in
general adult psychiatry specializing in psychotherapy and
psychopharmacology, (770) 435-4089. |

Adult Addiction Services and
Recovering Professionals Services
Steven M. Lynn, M.D.
Dr. Lynn is the Director of Adult Addiction Medicine and
Recovering Professionals Services at Ridgeview Institute. A graduate of
Wayne State Medical University in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Lynn completed his
psychiatry residency at Emory University in Atlanta. He has been in private
practice and an attending psychiatrist at Ridgeview Institute for over
20 years. Dr. Lynn is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction
Psychiatry. He is also certified by the American Society of Addiction
Medicine (ASAM). Dr. Lynn has assessed and treated hundreds of professionals
with substance use and psychiatric disorders. He has worked collaboratively
with many licensing authorities throughout the Southeast and extensively
with the Georgia Medical Board and the FAA. Dr. Lynn is a Fellow of the
American Society of Addiction Medicine and a Distinguished Fellow of the
American Psychiatric Association. His office is located on the

Adult Partial Hospitalization Programs
Steven Lee, M.D. serves as the Program
Director for Adult Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Services and Young
Adult Addiction Services. Dr. Lee is a graduate of Medical College of
Georgia and completed his psychiatry residency at the William S. Hall
Psychiatric Institute, where he also served as Chief Resident. He has been
an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Emory University since
1982. Dr. Lee is board certified in psychiatry and has worked extensively in
addiction medicine, particularly with adolescents and young adults.
Previously, Dr. Lee was Medical Director at SummitRidge Hospital and has
held other medical leadership positions in the Atlanta area. He maintains an

Older Adult
Services
Bharat Patel, M.D.
Dr. Bharat Patel joined Ridgeview Institute in July 2000 as
Director of the Older Adult Services. Dr. Patel leads the clinical team
in the treatment of older adult patients, as well as program development and
quality assurance. His experience, credentials and enthusiasm for treating
the elderly with psychiatric and substance abuse problems has brought
great expertise to the program. He practiced medicine for 15 years as a
General Practitioner before completing a Psychiatry residency at the
University of Missouri in June 1999. Dr. Patel went on to specialize in
treating the elderly and completed a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship in
June 2000 at Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Patel's practice is

Women's Services
Nina
Kram
Schlachter, D.O., has
served as Medical Program Director of Women's Services at Ridgeview
Institute since 1991. A graduate of Vassar College and The University of Des
Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, she is double board
certified in family practice and psychiatry. Dr. Schlachter completed her
psychiatry residency at Emory University where she served as Chief Resident
at Grady Memorial Hospital and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American
Psychiatric Association. She has lectured medical students and residents,
served on numerous committees, authored many articles and is a frequent
speaker on women's issues. Her practice is located on the Ridgeview campus.

Youth Services
Ashraf Attalla,
M.D
Dr.
Ashraf Attalla earned his M.D. at Alexandria University School of Medicine in
Alexandria, Egypt and completed his General Psychiatry Fellowship at the
University of Missouri at Kansas City in July 2001. He completed his Child
and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital,
Harvard Medical School in July 2003 and completed his Research and Clinical
Fellowship there in July 2004. Dr. Attalla also served as Medical Director
of the Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic at Massachusetts General
Hospital. Dr. Attalla is experienced in the areas of Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry and Addiction. His practice is
