Levels of Care
RIDGEVIEW INSTITUTE provides a comprehensive continuum of care
for children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric, emotional, and addictive
disorders. Our inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient treatment options are
cost-effective and give patients access to the least restrictive level of care. All
programs offer individualized treatment in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Levels of care include:
- DETOXIFICATION
- INTENSIVE INPATIENT
- PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION
- INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT
- RECOVERY RESIDENCE
- OUTPATIENT COUNSELING
- CONTINUING CARE
Detoxification
(Inpatient/Ambulatory)
Depending upon clinical need, detoxification from alcohol or drug dependence can be
managed in inpatient treatment or in partial hospitalization.
Intensive Inpatient
Some patients require the safety and security of 24-hour medical care. Our inpatient
programs allow patients to begin treatment in an intensive and medically monitored
therapeutic environment.
Partial Hospitalization
Partial hospitalization is an option for patients who need more support and structure
than outpatient treatment can provide, but do not require 24-hour medical supervision.
Ridgeview's partial hospitalization programs offer the same quality of clinical care as
our inpatient programs and allow patients to return home in the evening.
Adults in the PHP level may reside in our Recovery Residence. The program is
available Monday through Friday; a typical schedule is six to eight hours per day.
Intensive Outpatient
Our intensive outpatient programs offer a flexible schedule of treatment
- typically three hours per day - allowing patients to live at home and maintain a work
schedule. The program is available Monday through Friday with day and evening hours.
Recovery Residence
Ridgeview's Recovery Residence offers supportive community living for adults in our
partial hospitalization treatment programs. Community living gives
patients the opportunity to work on restoring the balance between work, family, and
leisure while still in treatment. Whether they are in the recovery process for addiction,
eating disorders, depression or another illness, patients develop a bond of community and
a partnership in healing. The residence includes male and female dormitory-style quarters,
staff support, and 24-hour medical on-call. We also offer a separate
residence for young adult males, ages 18 to 26.
Outpatient Counseling
Ridgeview has an extensive network of clinicians to help find the right placement for
patients who need a referral for individual outpatient therapy.
Continuing Care
The treatment team works closely with each patient to develop a continuing care plan
that will solidify the gains made in treatment and ensure that the healing process
continues. This plan may include aftercare support groups at Ridgeview or additional
treatment or support services in the
patient's home community.
