Standards of Care

Treatment Planning
Before admission to any of Ridgeview's programs, patients undergo a comprehensive assessment of their physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and family needs to determine the most appropriate level of care. The treatment team, led by the attending psychiatrist, develops an individual treatment plan for each patient and meets regularly to review each patient's progress and to update treatment goals. A master's level case manager, assigned upon admission, works closely with each patient to ensure that the treatment plan is meeting his or her changing needs.

Staff
Directed by board certified psychiatrists, Ridgeview's treatment programs represent many professional disciplines, including medicine, nursing, spirituality, social work, counseling, and expressive and activity therapies. Experienced and compassionate, Ridgeview staff work together as an interdisciplinary team to assist each patient through the treatment process.

Family Services
Treatment for the entire family is a critical component of Ridgeview's programs. Master's level clinicians provide a wide range of services, including individual therapy, patient and family groups, and weekly support and education groups to patient families and significant others during and after treatment. Our four-day Family Workshop, held monthly, provides opportunities for patients and families to heal together. General sessions address family communication, rules and roles, codependent relationships, and shame and self-esteem. Small breakout groups deal with the impact of specific issues - addiction, mental illness, eating disorders, trauma, and more - on the family system.

Discharge Planning
Discharge planning begins upon admission. The treatment team works closely with each patient to set realistic goals for recovery and to develop a continuing care plan to solidify the gains made in treatment. We also assist patients and their families who need referral for additional treatment or support services in their home communities.
